I feel obama is “talking white” because he feels that his best chance to win this election. I think his survival instincts are kicking in and is trying to appeal to a majority of America. He’s also doing that by distancing himself from being associated with muslims. I don’t think majority of America is ready to vote for a outspoken “black talking” canidate that is compassionate towards muslims. What does that say about Obama’s charcter? I guess that is up to everyone individual interpetation. Maybe he’s playing the game of politics so he can get elected.
I think he’s playing the game of politics to get elected. And to be honest, I’m not bothered by it. The thought of McCain in office frightens me that much.
Obama is where he is, mostly because he is BLACK. John Edwards had much more experience in the senate, he was a straight talker, yet he was dismissed by everyone as a guy with no experience to be worthy of the top job.
Obama has 0 experience, a flip-flopper, sleazy and a zionist-apologist.
Not arguing that Edwards wouldn’t have been the better candidate. Perhaps being black did contribute to Obama getting the nomination to some degree. I think there were other factors at play as well.

A “black talking” canidate that is compassionate towards muslims would never get elected.

I’m not so sure. His rise to the top has been pretty meteoric these past months.
Don’t quite know what to make of it all….
